The folks at The Diablo Royale Este saloon in New York are busy injecting cans of Tecate with simple syrup and lime juice and putting them in the freezer (not before jamming a stick through it of course) for four days. (Link)

hm, i think this may be the cure to what ails me.

Great idea until you find little bits of aluminum can in your popsicle.

Finally, A Hole Punch for Beer

Wait is this seriously a thing? I thought the real beer aficionados were telling us to drink beer from a glass, and more specifically the right kind of glass to get all the flavors to open up on the pallet and so on….

Is there seriously a mini rebellion going on? An under current of people using straws to drink beer? Is this so popular that someone has invented and is now marketing a beer bottle cap hole punch?

Grasshopper (by Wolfman-K)

A wheat ale by Alberta Cananda’s Big Rock Brewery. I picked up a six pack of this while I was accross the boarder doing some fishing with the family last week.

This beer gets C marks by beer advocate but I suspect that’s because it’s being compaired to other wheats, and this is really not a very wheaty beer.

This tastes to me like some sort of blend of an ale and summer wheat. The wheat flavor is light, but it finishes with some nice ale complexity with just a touch of hops at the end.

The lighter wheat flavors in this case make the beer easier to drink and it becomes a wonderfully quaffable brew perfect for hot summer days.

I ‘d rate this a 4/5

Note: like many beers this feels/tastes very constrained when drinking it from the bottle, be sure and pour this out to a glass to get it to really open up.

Hey everyone, Keith here. The plan for our next show is to do one more TV Show specific podcast. Since Rob has finally (a few years late) jumped on board the Firefly bandwagon, he wants chat about that.

Since both Cindy and I are huge Firefly fans, we agreed. But we need your help.

If you have questions, comments, loves, hates, favorite characters, scenes, or any though in general, lets make with the comments, emails, phone calls, texts, tweets, or whatever you favorite way to communicate with us is.

Also we don’t have a beer picked out for next show yet either… so thoughts on that would be helpful too.
